THE WASHER WOMAN STORY

From collecting beads and trading them with friends in my childhood to scavenging thrift stores, garage sales and the city sidewalks as an adult, I have always loved having a treasure of trinkets I could call my own.

After my sister showed me how to make a pendant from a washer, I was hooked.

WW Materials Compilation.jpg

Now, I had a way of bringing my collection to life as well as reuse the materials that I find every day—stamps, junk mail, clock parts, maps, matchbook covers, subway tokens, lottery tickets, game pieces and so on. With every piece, I do my best to reconstruct the mishmash of old and odd treasures into something delightfully unexpected.

Browse the ever-changing offering of Washer Woman Pendants and see if one speaks to you. Maybe it’s the color or texture or subject matter you like. Maybe it sparks a memory or a story. Maybe it says something that reflects who you are. Or maybe it starts a conversation with someone else.

For whatever the reason, know that yours is a one-of-a-kind pendant that will last forever (as long as you don’t drop it or take it in the shower!)

Hope you visit again soon and thank you for wearing and sharing a WW.
